Multi-Leg Bridle Slings
Legs on 4-leg bridle slings do not share load equally. Usually ONLY 2-SLING LEGS support the load weight.
A 3-leg bridle distributes the load to all 3-legs
A 4-leg bridle can result in only 2-legs holding the load. When one of 4 legs is longer, then that leg and the leg on the diagonal corner lose their share of the load.
Reasons how one leg can be longer than the other 3:
- One leg manufactured longer
- One leg stretched
- One leg has different size shackle
- One pad eye is sized differently
- Sling eyes bunch up in top shackle
