Regarding occupational exposures to noise, a hearing conservation program is required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration “whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale or, equivalently, a dose of fifty percent.
This course is designed to help you prevent initial occupational hearing loss, preserve and protect remaining hearing, and equip yourself and/or fellow workers with the knowledge and hearing protection devices necessary to safeguard themselves.
At the end of this course, you will have 2 attempts to achieve an 80% or above on the final exam to receive your Certificate of Achievement! Enjoy the course, and please fill out the survey at the end!
