  • OSHA regulates aerial lifts as scaffolds (1926.453)
  • Fall protection required
  • Full body harness with lanyard
  • Fall Protection not required on scissor lifts if there are guardrails
  • However, if Manufacturer, Rental Company or General Contractor requires the use
  • Anchor Points Manufacturer installed
  • Always close entrance chains or doors
  • Stand on floor of bucket or platform
  • Do not climb on or lean over guardrails
  • Fall arrest systems could tip over some boom and/or scissor lifts due to fall stopping force
  • Ground controls shall not be operated during use, unless instructed to do so by person in the platform or in an emergency

Remember!
