CONTINUED CONCERN ABOUT LOSS FROM PLATFORMS/VESSELS

Industry efforts to date have reduced, if not eliminated, trash intentionally jettisoned into the Gulf of Mexico.  However, there is still a concern about accidental losses from structures and vessels.

Individual Responsibility is needed. In some cases, this results from poor waste management practices (e.g., no lids or unsecured lids on waste receptacles), but in others it is caused by the failure of individuals to secure materials and personal belongings aboard vessels and facilities.
