  • In order to insure proper housekeeping is maintained, you must be a part of the continuous facility maintenance process. The program should include the housekeeping function in all processes, operations, and tasks performed. Each employee needs to understand that housekeeping is integral to his/her job and safety.

Maintaining a regular walk through, inspection schedule and documenting the findings are critical to a proper housekeeping plan.  Reporting hazards and training are crucial to sustaining the plans.  Setting measurable goals and expectations should be the basis on these audits.  It takes persistence and dedication to fix this easy problem area.
