Loading a roll off pan may vary due to potential hazards located in a specific area of a plant or facility. In this event consult the Job Safety Analysis for specific instructions for that roll off pan before you leave Sunrise Services, LLC. (JSA’s may be in the General Manager’s office.)
Please note no situation is ever the same and caution should always be taken when performing the task. Vehicle Entry Permits may be required by location, do not assume every truck may be permitted into a plant area.
El freno de mano se debe poner antes de salir de la cabina para cargar o descargar cualquier plato usando los controles exteriores.
Recommended Loading Procedure:
Step 1: Align the truck with the center of the container, back up the truck slowly as square as possible. Allow 1 to 2 feet between the container and rear of the truck.
Hoist to Pan Alignment:
Step 2: Put the transmission in neutral and engage the PTO. Set the brakes on the truck and go to the hydraulic control station.
Step 3: Raise the hoist on the truck until it touches the ground.
Step 4: Exit the truck and connect the cable ring to the container hook.
Step 5: Enter the truck and release the brakes to pull the container onto the hoist allowing the truck to roll under the container.
Step 6: After the center of gravity of the container is past the rear hinge point of the hoist, lower the hoist partially. Do not attempt to power the hoist down before the center of gravity of the pan is forward of the rear point of the hoist. This can cause excessive wear and tear to the machinery.
Step 7: Pull the container completely forward to the front of the hoist frame. Allow the pin to secure the pan. Make sure the container is pulled securely into front stops.
Side Straps:
Step 8: Secure container to the truck using the side straps. Straps are to be tightened according to DOT rules and regulations.
Unloading the Pan:
Spacing – Secure a visual reference point adjacent to the truck then proceed one truck length forward to ensure proper safe spacing for pan placement.
Observador – Cuando sea necesario, el conductor cederá el paso al observador en todo momento antes de descargar la bandeja y luego procederá de acuerdo con las instrucciones del observador.
Cable – Monitor the pan movement and slack in the boom cable. Cable should remain taught otherwise STOP; pull pan back until tension is restored then restart the lowering process.
Step 1: Establish one truck length from the desired pan location. Watch out for overhead obstructions.
Step 2: Pan will make contact 1/3 to ½ way into the final location. Maintain proper hoist angle.
Step 3: Release cable until pan is on ground. Monitor pan movement. Sudden stop could cause slack in the cable.
