Hurricane Plan – Condition I

ÇİMSA, Americas, business located on the Gulf Coast in the Greensport Terminal will go to Condition 1 at the start of hurricane season on June 1st and will remain at Condition 1 until November 30th each year.

  • The CERT will conduct a full review of this hurricane evacuation plan and any supporting documents. Condition 1 indicates increased awareness during the storm season.
  • The CERT Leader will convene the CERT for a pre-hurricane season tabletop exercise that will formally test communication and notification systems, provide team training for all members of the ERT, and fully exercise this plan. The ERT will convene either in person or by telephone conference call to review response and recovery preparations. (Applicable to each CERT)
  • At this time the CERT Leader will confirm that each primary member of the CERT has nominated a deputy to comprise a 2 deep level CERT, ensuring full representation within the CERT.
  • In the event a tropical depression or more intense tropical system develops prior to the start of the Hurricane Season (June 1), the CERT will go on Condition 1 at that time. In the event a tropical depression or more intense tropical system develops after November 30th, the CERT will resume Condition 1.
  • A secondary Emergency Location(s) for the CERT will be researched and identified by the facility services prior to June 1.
  • Employees assigned to a CERT will be trained on their Hurricane Emergency Plan. Managers will discuss the Hurricane Emergency Plan and emergency communications with their employees.
  • Verify that WhatsApp is operational and tested during the tabletop exercise.
  • Generate pre-approved messages that can be sent to clients, customers, sub-contractors and vendors by the CERT stating actions taken by the CERT.
