Condition 4: Hurricane Warning Issued for Coastal Areas

Hurricane Condition Four is set for a storm that has a significant strike probability forecast for the local area. Destructive winds are now probable within 24 hours of the location.

Condition 4 is initiated when authorities have issued a warning that sustained winds 64 kt (74 mph or 119 km/hr) or higher associated with a Hurricane is expected in a specified coastal area in 24 hours or less.

  • The ERT Leader, upon reviewing the category of the storm, will consider ordering the deployment of the CERT if they are not already deployed.
  • At category three or higher, employee evacuation should be complete. Affected local area offices will be closed.
  • All employees will be notified of status through WhatsApp.
