Lockout / Tagout

The following are some statements that are important when considering life saving rules of Lockout / Tagout.

• (LOTO) procedures must be followed without exception.
• All equipment will be locked out and de-energized before work can start.
• All equipment locked out will be verified for a zero-energy state.
• Only Trained and Authorized employees will mechanically lock out equipment.
• Only Trained, Authorized, and Certified electricians will lock out equipment.
