Congratulations, you’re almost done with the course!  However, let’s take a few minutes to reflect on the course content before you take the final exam. You will only get 2 chances to pass the final with a score of 80% or higher. 

If you aren’t confident in your knowledge of one of the following subjects, go back to the relevant lesson in the course to give it a review.

  • OPERATION CLEAN SWEEP® (OCS) is an international program designed to prevent plastic pellet loss and the potential introduction of pellets to the marine environment where they create both a litter problem and a threat to marine and wildlife.
  • Bob-tail trucks have a much tighter turning radius than tractor trailers.
  • Wear gloves at all times when outside of the truck, especially when working on equipment.
  • Regular Roll-off Pan: Designed to contain material, does not automatically dewater, must be dewatered manually.
  • Trailer length Pan: Approximately (3) feet longer than a regular pan and can only be hauled on trailers.
  • The parking brake must be set before exiting the cab to load or offload any pan using the exterior controls.
  • Spotter – Where required, driver will yield to the spotter at all times before unloading pan then proceed according to spotter’s guidance.
  • To avoid chunks/lumps from traveling far distance once dumped it is best practice to set the pan on the ground before dumping.
  • Chains should never be loose or hanging, always tighten the chains after the door has been closed.
  • All pan numbers must be verified by the driver before closing the ticket.
